Methodist Church Update
We have received notice that the Methodist Church intend to sell the building which now gives us less than 2 months in which to put together a bid.
The Parish Council are in ongoing discussions regarding the sale of the building for which, Community Asset Status was granted in March 2023.
The parish survey run over the last year has resulted in over 90% of the village wanting a Village Hall and a similar number are keen for us to pursue the Methodist Church as a suitable option.
We are applying for grants, but it might also be necessary to apply for a loan. This would mean increasing the amount of money the Parish Council receives through the Council Tax. We would therefore like to know if villagers will support this, hopefully in the short term, as fundraising and grant applications will be on-going to off-set any loan repayments.
